Founded in 1931 by Sir Jean Moilin Ah Chuen, ABC Foods, the trading name of CHUE WING & COMPANY LIMITED (the “Company” or “Chue Wing”), has been associated with Quality and Service in the food distribution industry, hence the trademark “The House of Quality & Service”. The Company’s head office and warehouse are located at Trianon.
The Company has established itself over the years as one of the main distributors of food products in Mauritius. Its fleet of vehicles distributes a wide range of foods, both dry and frozen, to most wholesale and retail outlets around the island. The Company is also a major supplier of top quality products for hotels and restaurants. The Company has also diversified its portfolios and is currently the distributor of personal care products which are commercialised under the brand names of Yardley, Lentheric and Laser. Through the acquisition of “UNITED CHEMISTS LTD” in July 2021, the Company started the distribution of pharmaceutical and para-pharmaceutical products.
Some of the products distributed by the Company are famous household brands such as Bakers Biscuits, Watsonia Corned Mutton, Apollo Noodles, Master Minn Fresh Noodles, Yeo’s Drinks and Sauces, Ardo Frozen Vegetables & Riced Veggies, Good Hope Soy Milk, Almond Breeze Almond Milk, Dewlands Fruit Juice, Dolly Milk Powder, Dairylite Low Fat Milk Powder, Tablelands and Miracle Margarine Spread, Lentheric & Yardley Personal Care, Aviko French Fries, Hunter Foods snacks, Emco Cereals, Campo Cereals & Choco Malt, Avonmore Cooking and Whipping Cream, Melbourne Processed Cheese, Dairymont Cream Cheese, Napoli Mozzarella, Schreiber Cream Cheese, Australian Star Butter, Ever Whip Vegetable Cream, Bala Canned Vegetables, Tsingtao Beer, Monchique Alkaline Water and Pet Food brands namely Dog & Dog, Unica Classe, Chat & Chat, amongst others. Chue Wing is also a distributor of cigarettes approved by the British American Tobacco.

Mr. Vincent Ah-Chuen is the Executive Chairman of the Company. He is a skilled and experienced entrepreneur and has played a key role in the development and diversification of the ABC Group of Companies. He is the Managing Director of ABC Group of Companies and is actively involved in various socio-cultural and religious non-profit associations.
In December 2016, he obtained the World Business Leadership Excellence Award. He is the Chairman of P.O.L.I.C.Y Limited, a listed company on the official market and a director of Phoenix Transafrica Holdings Ltd (Kenya).
Mr. Brian Ah-Chuen holds a BBA Honours from Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, Canada.
Currently the Managing Director of ABC Banking Corporation Ltd, a listed company, he has in this capacity overseen major projects including the opening of the ABC Banking Representative Office in Hong Kong, the setting up of the Private Banking Division and the opening of the ABC Private Banking Lounge. He is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Mauritius Bankers Association. He previously held various managerial positions within other companies of ABC Group of Companies. As Executive Director of ABC AUTOTECH LTD (ABC Automobile Cluster), he successfully introduced the Alfa Romeo and Fiat brands in Mauritius. Moreover, in a quest for expansion and modernisation, he managed the relocation project of CHUE WING & COMPANY LIMITED (ABC Foods) from Port Louis to Trianon. He was also the Executive Director of Marina Resort, a 4-star hotel previously owned by the ABC Group of Companies.
Mr. Brian was a past President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Board Member of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI). He is currently Director of the Mauritius Union Group (which is listed on the SEM) and also Board Member of the Business Mauritius’ Africa Strategy Committee. Mr. Brian is a Fellow member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD).
Mr. Raymond Ah-Chuen holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He served as President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in 1978 and had also been a director in other companies such as New Goodwill Ltd, Crystal Textile Co. Ltd and The Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited. Mr. Raymond has also acted as Chairman and/or Director of several companies of the ABC Group of Companies.
Mr. Edouard Ah Chuen started his early apprenticeship at Chue Wing at the beginning of 1980’s in order to follow in the footsteps of his late father Mr. Georges Ah-Chuen, one of the founders of the Company. He is now the Product & Market Research Manager. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of ORIENTAL FOODS LIMITED. He is also now President of Black River / Port Louis Regional Tennis Committee and President of Port Louis Garros Tennis Club and Executive member & Treasurer of the Mauritius Tennis Federation .Recently, he has been appointed as the Team Manager of the Mauritius Tennis Team Delegation for the Indian Ocean Island Games that will be held soon in Madagascar as from 23rd August 23.
Mr. Daniel Ah-Chuen is currently the manager responsible for the cashier department at Chue Wing and has been a director on the Board of the Company for the past 20 years. He has a vast commercial background and has been involved in various departments of the Company for the past 35 years. Mr. Daniel started as a sales supervisor to become later the sales manager of the frozen foods department.
Professor Donald Ah-Chuen holds an M.B.A (University of Strathclyde, UK). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and holds an M.C.I.P.D (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, UK).
Professor Donald’s long career started with his appointment as the first Chief Internal Auditor of the Central Electricity Board of Mauritius followed by his promotion three years later to the position of Secretary and Head of Administration of the same organization. His hard work, administrative skills and initiatives, especially in bringing stability in the company’s state of Industrial Relations and securing a durable long-term Agreement on Wages and Conditions of Employment with the Workers’ Union were greatly appreciated by the Board which then granted him a scholarship to undertake post-graduate studies in Management in the UK. Shortly after successful completion of his studies he joined the University of Mauritius to head the Centre of Professional Studies and in 1975 he became the first Mauritian to be appointed Professor of Management and Head of the School of Administration of the University. He subsequently served as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University before he decided to move to Australia.
Professor Donald worked for a period of 12 years in Sydney in important professional roles in both Academia & Industry, becoming the CEO of Graham Group of Companies and finishing with distinction as Chairman of the Association of Steel Galvanizing Enterprises of Australia after which he returned to Mauritius in 1995 to contribute in the consolidation, diversification and further development of the family business which soon expanded to become the ABC Group of Companies.
Professor Donald is a director of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd (SEM) and was its Chairman for the year 2018. He is also a director of P.O.L.I.C.Y Limited and the Managing Director of ABC Banking Corporation Ltd, listed on the SEM and DEM respectively. He is a former Board Director of the Development Bank of Mauritius and the Bank of Mauritius, and former Chairman of the Standard Bank (Mauritius) Ltd of South Africa.
His other previous responsibilities include the Presidency of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the Mauritian Institute of Management and the Association of Accountants of Mauritius, the Chairmanship of the Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius, and that of the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation.
Professor Donald was called by the Authorities to serve as a member of the Commission of Inquiry on Education, the Committee of Inquiry on the Amcol Project of Domaine Les Pailles, and as Chairman of the Committee of Inquiry on the Industrial Disputes in the Public Hospitals Service.
Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of ABC Banking Corporation Ltd in January 2012, Professor Donald was the founding Chairman of the bank which was originally set up by him as the ABC Finance & Leasing Company before its subsequent establishment 13 years later as a fully-fledged commercial bank.
Finally, in 2009 he was conferred by Government the distinction of G.O.S.K (Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean) in recognition of his valuable contributions to Commerce and Industry, Banking & Financial Services, and Tertiary Education.
Mr. Philip Ah-Chuen holds a BTech (Hons) from Brunel University, England and an MSc in Industrial Administration from Aston University, England. He is both a Fellow of the Mauritian Institute of Management (FMIM) and the Mauritius Institute of Directors (FMIoD) respectively. He is presently the Executive Director of Allied Motors Co. Ltd and a Non-Executive Director of the Company as well as a member of its Audit and Risk Committee.
In June 2015, he was appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director of the SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd and he chaired the Corporate Governance and Conduct Review Committee and sat on a number of board committees.
In November 2015, the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Ameenah Gurib-Fakim appointed him as Commissioner of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
He has also been very actively engaged in the education sector as Chairman of the Senior Appointments Committee of the Mauritius Institute of Education (2007-2015) and Chairman of the Excellence in Education National Jury Panel (2007-2009). He has been a lecturer in Management Studies at the University of Mauritius (1976-1980) and a part-time lecturer at the MEF Management School (1987-to date) and local tutor for the Surrey University MBA distance learning programs.

On 15 May 2018, the Acting President of the Republic, Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, appointed him as Chairperson of the Utility Regulatory Authority.
In March 2020, he was appointed Board Director of the Civil Service College, Mauritius and chairs both the Courses and the Corporate Governance, Audit and Risk Committees respectively.
In May 2022, he was nominated as member of Brunel University Alumni Board.
In May 2023, he received the distinction “Most Influential Senator” for his exceptional leadership, commitment and support to JCI Mauritius from JCI Africa and the Middle East Senators Association (AMESA).
Mr. Robert Hai Ping Chung Tung had pursued professional accountancy studies in the UK and has a vast experience in the fields of accounting, finance, general management, manufacturing and distribution. He worked with the British American Tobacco (Mauritius) PLC for 33 years and was seconded on duty to the BAT Group Head Office in the UK, thereby promoted as Finance Manager & Deputy General Manager until his early retirement. He subsequently joined the ABC Automobile Cluster as General Manager and thereafter was appointed ABC Group Consultant which function he assumes until presently. He was previously the President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and a Council Member of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Mr. Ah-Lan Lam Yan Foon is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He worked for 10 years in an international firm of Chartered Accountants where he acquired experience in various sectors of the economy. Over 24 years, he worked for a leading Freight Forwarding and Shipping Organisation within Rogers Group where he held the position of Finance & Administration Director and subsequently acted as Managing Director for 6 years up to his retirement. During the period 2000-2016, he provided consultancy services in the various fields of Finance and Management.
Mr. Ah-Lan is one of the founder members of ACCA (Mauritius Branch) and was its President in 1988. He was awarded the Certificate of Recognition for Dedication and Commitment to the service of ACCA in 2004.
Mr. Ah-Lan was the first elected President of The Mauritius Red Cross Society (2007-2010) at national level. He is the Treasurer of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Vice President of the Mauritius Economic Society (founded in 1962) and vice-president of the Dodo Philatelic Society. He is also the Chairman of ABC Group Pension Fund.

Mr. Mark Cedric Ah Chuen is currently the Executive Director of Redbird Corporate Services Ltd and also serves as the Board Member of ABC Group – a leading business organisation in Mauritius, which is structured in five main clusters: Automobile, Banking, Financial & Insurance Services, Foods Shipping & Logistics.
Cedric holds a Bachelor of Commerce International Business and Electronic Commerce from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia and Masters in Finance, University of East London, UK.
After having acquired hands-off experience in business in Mauritius, he then moved to Australia where he acquired international exposure in the fields of marketing and HR at ARA Jobs (2009 – 2015), Adelaide, Australia.
He then decided to make his move to China to gain more international and diversified experience from another perspective and dedicated his time in top head-hunting companies, while at the same time, strengthening family relationships between ABC Group and various companies in China. He is now on the Board of the Managing Committee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce where he is very active in promoting the Mauritius – China friendship in various fields.
Cedric is fluent in English, French and Mandarin
Mr. Marc Ah-Chuen passed away on 15 January 2025 and the Company, Board Members and all the employees of Chue Wing & Company Limited deeply mourns his demise.
Before his death, Mr. Marc Ah-Chuen used to be the Managing Director of Chue Wing which specializes in the food imports, production and distribution under the ABC Foods Cluster. He had long standing experience in the Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
He was also a director of various other companies of ABC Group including ABC MOTORS COMPANY LIMITED, a company listed on the Development Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd.
Mr. Paul Daniel Ah Lim is the General Manager of CHUE WING & COMPANY LIMITED and ORIENTAL FOODS LIMITED since December 2010. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the FMCG sector at Senior Management level. He is also the General Manager of UNITED CHEMISTS LTD and is Member of the Association of Mauritian Manufacturers. He holds a BBA in Marketing and an MBA in Marketing (Morehead State University, Kentucky, USA).
Mr. Krishna Dev Jadoo is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He started his career in the external audit in 2001. He then moved for an Accounting & Finance experience in the investment property and hotel sectors as from 2004. He joined the Company as Finance Manager in 2013 and he has more than 10 years’ experience in the FMCG sector at Senior Management level. He is now the Senior Finance & Administrative Manager of CHUE WING & COMPANY LTD, ORIENTAL FOODS LTD and UNITED CHEMISTS LTD

In 1964, ABC Foods further diversified its activities and opened its first Cold Storage at 10, Queen Street. Some years later, the company relocated its activities at 49, Queen Street and Arsenal Street in Port Louis.
